![]() ![]() For Raine, mixing things up is the most effective thing. ![]() ![]() He also gets access to an additional element as an S-Type. They have smaller AoE, but that hardly matters, especially in boss fights. For Genis I prefer S-Type, I think those spells have a better Damage-TP-Casting Time ratio. For most characters it doesn't matter too much in my opinion. Totally unnecessary for most plays.Ībout Types: You dont have to stick to one type and can mix things up, even on one character. Sure, some of them are handy and actually feel like they make a difference, but most of them are low percentage bonuses that might aswell not exist, especially in early game. That way you have more abilities.Ībout Ex-Skills: apart from selecting which type you want, Ex-Skills itself (and Compound Ex-Skills for that matter) are mostly negligible. (But I actually prefer T type Lloyd, over his default S type.)īTW, when adding new Ex Gems to a character, always add it to a new slot. From my experience, every character is good on their default type. Your type decides which Techs you'll learn, but they're all good, so it doesn't matter that much. If you have a gem majority of a certain type, your character will become that type. Basically, each gem can be used to set a bonus ability, and that ability will be S or T type. (Idk the controls for Steam, but on PS3, you hold L and press a direction to select a command) For example, if your allies are low on health, you could try Guard command.Īlso, Ex Gems and Types don't matter all that much. You could also try commanding your allies. (press down direction while guarding) It also works to just dodge some of them by running left or right, unless it's a homing attack like Fireball. Magic attacks can't be guarded, unless you use Gaurdian. You don't take nearly as much damage while guarding, and then you can usually counter attack the enemy. If you're dying a lot in battle, you could try guarding attacks more. It doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong. So if someone can break it down simply or share what their strategy was their first playthrough, that would be awesome. I don't want to sit down for hours researching this game, I just want to have fun. I've given everyone a EX-Gem that gives a bonus that suits their class (like INT boost to Genis), that's as far as I can comfortably go without extensive research. Kratos Lvl 13, Secondary Attack + Backup Heal, S-TypeĬolette Lvl 12, Support?, Barely used, swtiched out for Kratos ASAP, so she's barely developed, Leans slightly towards S-Type Lloyd Lvl 13, Main character, not sure if I should switch, S-Type I found guides for some of the topics, but they answer mid to end game questions, and I'm in Palmacosta looking for a book that someone stole. Sometimes I do ok, but I usually just spend way too much time researching and not enough time playing (like now, I get the feeling I should avoid the game until I figure out, what EX types do I want, where do i put the gem I have, and how should I set up my team) +56% reduction of enemy Break gauge to Fire allies.I'm not usually the best when building my character or doing team setup. Tales of CrestoriaĪ young woman who is gentle and kind, Colette's physical clumsiness belies the strength and sturdiness of the heart within.ġ1% chance artes-type allies' cooldown of artes to reset after use.ġ00% chance to increase DEF of all allies by 3% ⇨ 15% (MAX) (3 turns).ġ00% chance to decrease DEF of all enemies by 15% (2 turns).ġ00% chance to cast Poison on all enemies (2 turns). She's developing feelings for Lloyd, who always acts normally around her, despite her role as the Chosen. While easygoing by nature, she is so strong of heart that she can face even her life-or-death journey with a smile on her face. As the Chosen of Sylvarant, Colette is the key to her world's resurrection.
